Egypt Family vacation in 8 Days

After breakfast, we will have a long drive to Giza, which she will lead in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

Your trip will start with the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient and modern world. The Sphinx belongs to the pyramids era of Chephren, circa 2620 BC. This iconic site is a highlight of family vacations in Egypt, and close to the fantastic geography of the Giza Pyramids, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture amazing photographs.

Have lunch at a good local restaurant and enjoy your meal.

Then after, you will proceed to Memphis, the first capital of Upper and Lower Egypt, built about 5000 years ago in the First Dynasty, and head to Sakkara, which is famous for its history and archaeological sites. Both are among the top places to visit in Cairo in one day for those eager to explore Egypt’s ancient treasures beyond the pyramids.

At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel.

After having breakfast, it will be time to get ready for a three-hour drive to Alexandria with our guide using a private van that is air-conditioned. 

The impressive Pompey's Pillar, put up in memory of Emperor Diocletian, will be the first place you visit. 

Then you will go to the Sultan Qaitbay Citadel, which was built on the old site of the Statue of Diane, also known as the Lighthouse of Alexandria. 

Then the tour takes you to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of the most fascinating places to go in Alexandria. It’s the largest Roman cemetery, featuring three levels of underground passages that beautifully showcase the blend of Roman and Egyptian art.

There are also lunch breaks at a good-quality local restaurant. 

Next on the itinerary is a visit to the famous Alexandria Library and Gardens of Montazah Palace, which used to belong to King Farouk. You will be able to take beautiful and interesting pictures of Alexandria at this time. 

At the end of this tour, everyone will proceed to their respective hotels. 

Note: The Library of Alexandria is not open for public access on Fridays and other holidays. 

Back to Cairo for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, be prepared to leave with the professional guide in a private car with air conditioning. 

Your tour will commence with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, the foremost repository of Egyptian antiquities in the world. This iconic site is one of the must-visit places to go in Cairo with family, where a breathtaking collection of artifacts from the land of the pyramids awaits, making it the largest collection of pharaonic belongings and a perfect introduction to Ancient Egypt’s history.

A good local restaurant will serve lunch. 

The meal finished; you will enter the Citadel of Salah El-Din, which was the center of Egypt for almost seven centuries. This fort also includes the Mohamed Ali Mosque.

After your breakfast at your hotel, you will be taken in a private air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor.   

I will be there to welcome you at the airport and assist you to your hotel in a private air-conditioned car equipped with an experienced driver.  

Beginning this Upper Egypt adventure is a tour of the East Bank, which is known as the World’s Largest Open museum. You will visit the beautiful Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, which feature amazing open courtyards and granite structures of Ramses II. Lunch will be held in a well-known local restaurant.  

After the tour ends, you will be escorted to your hotel for an overnight stay in Luxor.

After your breakfast, you will proceed by a private car to the West Bank to explore the famous West Bank Luxor attractions, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the two Colossi of Memnon.

Lunch will be served at a nice local restaurant.  

At the end of the tour, you will be taken to Luxor airport in order for you to board a flight to return to Cairo.  

Upon landing, our representative would be there to help you with the rest of the arrival procedures before driving you to the hotel for overnight accommodation in Cairo.  

Optional Activities:  
Hot Air Balloon (for about 30-45 minutes – experience a bird’s eye view of the Valley of the Kings.  

This day is considered a rest day where you may go to any part of Cairo without restrictions.
